..especially in the Creative Industry š¶šā
Ever landed the dream gig, signed the big client, or got featured in something major ā but still thought:
āTheyāre going to figure out I have no idea what Iām doing.ā
Welcome to the glamorous world of imposter syndrome ā where even the most talented creatives can feel like a total fraud⦠in a designer jacket!!
Whether youāre writing bestsellers, producing beats, styling shoots, or editing films ā success in the creative world often comes with a side of doubt. Why? Because thereās no rulebook. No ladder. No ārightā way. And that makes it easy to feel like youāre winging it 24/7.
But hereās the truth:
š¢ Youāre not a fraud. Youāre just growing.
And that uncomfortable feeling? Itās part of stretching into the next version of yourself.
Hereās how to work with it ā not against it:
š§ 1. Name it, donāt shame
it Feeling like an imposter doesnāt mean you are one. It means you care. It means youāre stretching. And actually ā itās kind of a sign youāre on to something big.
š 2. Keep a āProof Fileā
Start collecting the wins: glowing emails, kind words, press features, client feedback. When your brain says āYouāre not good enough,ā pull out the receipts.
š£ 3. Talk to people who get it
Creative industries can be isolating. So connect with peers who understand the hustle behind the highlight reel. Spoiler: theyāve felt it too.
š 4. Redefine success (again and again)
Not winning awards? Doesnāt mean youāre not succeeding. Still figuring it out? Thatās normal. Confidence comes when you stop measuring your worth by someone elseās timeline.
You donāt have to wait until you āfeelā confident to act like a pro. Do the work. Show up anyway! You already belong. Now go make more magic āØ
